Muckety downAfter years of denials, Armstrong in 2012 stopped contesting charges that he used performance-enhancing drugs. He continued to deny doping, but said, "Enough is enough."

He was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles and the bronze medal won at the 2000 Olympics. When the United States Anti-Doping Agency released its evidence against him, Nike dropped its contract and Armstrong resigned as chairman of his cancer foundation, Livestrong.
